Out of all the animals we've had...and we've had eleven cats and dogs--we've always rescued them.I think animals that have been rescued, know that, and never forget it, and are so much more loving.Plus, they thought of as pets, not chattel.
Bob, our companion animals have always been resues as well. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Dog breeders should be more closely monitored and regulated with limits on the number of animals that are allowed to be produced. I'm even more concerned with horse breeders that experiment with the lives of these animals and their offspring in a quest to make the most money.http://diatribesandovations.com/2011/08/26/0826-fri-ovation-loving-child-ties-birthday-money-and-note-to-family-dog-and-sends-him-into-the-world-rather-than-allow-him-to-go-to-a-pound/
D&A- I'm distrustful of any breeder here in the US. Our regs are pitiful, enforcement spread thin, and legal system does not punish offenders with the heavy hand they need.
